The Early Career Researcher Forum (ECRF) established by AIIHPC in 2013, is central to the Institute’s aim of fostering a strategic approach to palliative care research and knowledge development on our shared island. Today the ECRF has over 300 members from over 60 different academic, clinical, charity, service providers, and regulatory organisations on the island of Ireland who are interested in palliative care research. The ECRF provides opportunities to access peer and mentor support, develop links with researchers, participate in free capacity building events, and share knowledge across disciplines.
We welcome new members to join and benefit from this collaborative community of peers managed by AIIHPC. The ECRF is open to anyone based on the Island of Ireland who is interested in palliative care research and is free to join. Membership is diverse and includes researchers, health and social care professionals, and policy makers from any discipline who consider themselves in the early to mid-stages of their research career within palliative and end-of-life care. This includes people who may be senior researchers within other research areas.

As a member you will have access to a range of learning opportunities including free webinars, conferences, podcasts and blogs. It is also a platform for skill development and confidence building, with chances to actively participate by presenting webinars or contributing blog posts’
