A Human Rights based approach for Palliative care: Towards Solutions for Public Health Palliative Care
AIIHPC hosted the 3rd International Research Seminar in Belfast on the 16th and 17th of November 2023, in partnership with European Association for Palliative Care Reference Group on Public Health and Palliative Care . It was attended by 110 participants, mainly from Europe but also from Canada, USA, Singapore, Australia and Korea. The theme of the seminar – ‘A Human Rights based approach to Palliative Care: Towards Solutions for Public Health Palliative Care’ was highly relevant as 2023 marked 75 years since the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in Paris on the 10 December 1948.
The Seminar was a key opportunity for leading innovators, researchers, practitioners, policy makers, representatives of civic society in the public health palliative care approach to come together to discuss public health palliative care research and debate some of these questions considering the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
